Your wallet PIN unlocks sending, minting, and collecting for 5 minutes. Wallet backup lets you secure that PIN with a recovery code you keep yourself.
- Open Settings → Wallet.
- Choose Secure your PIN, or Manage backup if you already backed up.
- Enter your account password.
- Enter your wallet PIN. Imutabl shows a recovery code once. Save it somewhere private.
- Later, enter that recovery code in the same screen to see your PIN.
- After you finish, Settings says you backed up your wallet.
- Changing your PIN creates a new recovery code. The old code stops working.
- Getting a new recovery code also makes the previous code stop working.
- The recovery code is not your private key. It only helps you see your PIN.
